Kind words for our gallery, in an email correspondence, from noted Parrish authourity - Laurence S. Cutler.
Sir:
Just a minor correction to your impressive website:
The National Museum of American Illustration has by far, the largest collection of original Maxfield Parrish artworks-72 paintings including his largest work (A Florentine Fete) and his smallest work and 1 1/2 inch diameter button.
No other museum nor any collectors have such a massive assembly of his unique artworks.
..... We also have the complete collection of all Parrish vintage works, meaning prints, memorabilia (his original paint brushes), and every book, advertisement, etc., which ever used his images. There are 800 works in that part of the collection which is known as the American Imagist Collection.
With thanks for your efforts regarding this American treasure,
Laurence S. Cutler AIA RIBA, Chairman
